k i d s began in the summer of 2012 in Athens, Georgia as a solo project by Jared Collins while a part of the birdhouse collection and grew into a full band soon after the release of “these days” and his departure from now defunct acapella-psych group, pretty bird.
After a live album recording at a local venue, 2 East coast tours in 2013 (one with Black Kids) and multiple member changes, Collins, with long time friends Joshua Costanza, Kimberly Drew, Clark Brown and Jacob Deel have established a 60’s pop revival sound with heavy influences from avant noise, nonmusical art forms and experimental music.
